PROMOSI KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT DAN PEMBUATAN BAHAN SANITASI DALAM PENCEGAHAN DAN PENGENDALIAN COVID-19

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing today, therefore the implementation of health protocols, vaccination programs, and so on is still being carried out. With this pandemic, almost all sectors are affected, including the health, education and economic sectors. Although this viral infection is known to threaten lives, some people still don't pay attention to the implementation of good health protocols. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to carry out socialization and education so that the public can understand about Covid-19 and how to prevent it so that it can reduce the spread of Covid-19. The main purpose of this community service activity is to increase understanding of health promotion in the prevention and control of Covid-19 and provide training on the manufacture and use of sanitation materials to residents. Our program tries to help solve the problems of partner communities by providing counseling on ways to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19. The outreach activities focused on the 5 M activities: Wearing masks, washing hands with soapy water and/or hand sanitizers, maintaining distance, reducing mobility and avoiding crowds. Meanwhile, the training focused on the method of making hand sanitizers using simple, easy, inexpensive and safe technology for the environment. The initial visit was carried out at Ma'had Al Atsar Qur'anic which is located at the hamlet of Banyu Urip RT 01, Caturharjo, Pandak, Bantul at the end of June 2021. During the visit to the mosque, it was found that face-to-face activities such as majlis taklim were found. youth, male Islamic boarding schools, al-quran education parks (TPA), Islamic boarding schools and tahfidz quran houses. Of all the activities at this pesantren, the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus is relatively high and fast because there are still crowds. Therefore, after the results of the initial visit, it was followed up with a socialization program on the application of health protocols and education to partners. The next activity was distributing brochures, pasting 5M posters and distributing hand sanitizer. In addition, several activities were carried out through video learning media made by the team. This activity is very relevant to be implemented so that the community continues to carry out activities in accordance with health protocols so that the spread of Covid-19 will be reduced.
