Bantuan dan pendampingan budidaya jahe merah dalam polybag kepada jamaah pengajian desa Baturetno, Banguntapan, Bantul

Abstract

Samudra Baru (Santunan Muhammadiyah Ranting Baturetno Utara) is one of charities Muhammadiyah branch of North Baturetno, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Samudra Baru has routine activities, monthly recitation and provision to the poor elderly, totaling 285 people. So far, the compensation is only basic necessities. On the other hand, elderly people should keep to do positive activities to maintain immunity. The aims of this community service are to provide knowledge about the benefits of ginger and skills about red ginger cultivation. As well as assistance for red ginger plant in polybags. The methods of devotion are by giving lecture about knowledge of ginger’s benefit, red ginger cultivation, providing planting media and red ginger bud, as well as assistance in red ginger cultivation. The result are 1)There is  knowledge increase about the benefits of ginger, 2)An increase in skills on how to cultivate red ginger in polybag, 3)An increase in productive plants of the assisted residents, especially red ginger.
