Abstract


Multikulturalisme sebagai bagian utuh membentuk keragaman bangsa. Multikultural suatu bangsa berpengaruh terhadap problematika yang komplek pada manusia. Artikel ini membahas pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling kepada masyarakat. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa  profesionalisme konselor berpengaruh terhadap pelayanan konseling kepada masyarakat dengan keragamannya. Kompetensi multikultural dan advokasi muncul sebagai bagian utuh dalam pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. Strategi dalam treatment, intervensi, kegagalan, peran konselor, respons transferensi dan countertransference, serta profesionalisme mendukung kompetensi konselor. Tanggungjawab atas advokasi profesi konseling melalui kebijakan asosiasi bimbingan dan konseling menjadi bagian untuk mendukung pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling dengan subjek masyarakat. Eksistensi pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling dengan masyarakat sebagai subjek dapat implikasikan melalui pusat informasi dan konseling masyarakat.
