Smart user bermedia sosial dalam pembelajaran: Menjawab tantangan dan peluang pendidikan bagi warga negara di era baru

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis smart user dalam bermedia sosial yang diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di Perguruan Tinggi khususnya di Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta. Hal ini muncul sebagai respon terhadap bentuk pembelajaran yang berkembang di era baru. Konsep implementasi media sosial dalam pembelajaran menjadi upaya dalam memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai tools dalam pembelajaran dengan berbasis pada teknologi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus guna melakukan penggalian terhadap masalah secara mendalam dan menangkap makna secara komperehensif yang terjadi di Lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta yang merupakan Univeritas swasta dengan akreditasi A dari Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi di Daerah Istimewa di Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa sebagai smart user bermedia sosial dalam pembelajaran telah memenuhi beberapa pagar keamanan antara lain: mengatur tingkat privasi akun, selektif dalam memilih pertemanan, selalu perpikir ulang sebelum post.
