Penari dan Gaya Hidupnya dalam Novel The Dancer Karya Arthasalina

Abstract


The study aims to describe and expose the life style of the dancer who featured Ajeng as a dancer in the novel The Dancer by Arthasalina. Using David Chaney's Lifestyle Theory. The result of this research is a lifestyle industry that refers to the presence of aesthetization of the body that appearance is everything. Next how the fulfillment of basic needs in this consumption behavior to keep up with the evolution of the times. A self-reliant lifestyle is meant for self-sufficiency. On lifestyle features there is an external appearance on appearances in lifestyle consumption can be interpreted about how the person spends his time. An attitude about how someone spends their time determining their identity. The implicit sensitivity becomes important for the reason why a lifestyle is needed as an iconography of the community. The dance sensitivity of this Ajeng character is not just practicing dancing together. But there's also something they're looking for when they are together for dance practice.
