Media Management of Immigration Office Class I TPI Yogyakarta in Improving Public Service

Abstract


This research discusses the Media Management of Immigration Office Class I TPI Yogyakarta in Improving Public Service. This is related to the purpose of the study, how the media management process carried out by the Yogyakarta Immigration Office uses management functions: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This research was conducted because media management is the most important process for governments in managing the media so that the objectives of the public service are achieved. In this study, the authors used a descriptive qualitative research method where the source used in checking the data validity, and used interviews from different sources to recheck the validation of the data obtained by the author regarding media management. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study are: First, planning Information and Communication Technology division of the Yogyakarta Immigration office by making a schedule for systematic publication of content or news. Second, organizing the process of preparing the organizational structure. Third, actuating is the real action taken after the planning and organizing process that has been previously formed, in this case the ladership has a role to provide direction and motivation for employess. Fourth, controlling the Information and Communication Technology division’s media management team conducts evaluations directly or through data analysis.
