Mina Horti sebagai Salah Satu Alternatif Usaha Penanggulangan Stunting di Masa Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

Argodadi Village is one of the stunting focus locations. Toddlers are a vulnerable group, during the Covid-19 pandemic the risk of toddlers suffering from malnutrition with a severe degree increases, besides that the pandemic also has the potential to give birth to new cases of malnutrition. Mina Horti is the integration between agriculture (horticultural crops) and fish cultivation in one land/one place. This effort is a fairly effective effort to provide food ingredients in the form of fish/animal side dishes and vegetables/mineral vitamins for toddlers in the long term. This activity was carried out in the context of community service for the Healthy Village Development Program (PPDS) with funds from the Ministry of Health in Argodadi Village, Kapanewon Sedayu, Kab. Bantul DI Yogyakarta in 2021. The training was held on August 19, 2021 with 25 participants from the Argodadi Village cadres. In this training, a stimulant is given in the form of a package of mina horti (catfish and plant seeds). The training is provided with theoretical and practical methods. Monitoring and evaluation of training is carried out by measuring the knowledge of participants and the sustainability of the program of activities. The results of the training stated that all participants knew the mina horti method and its maintenance. Meanwhile, the results of field observations show that the failure of mina horti was due to ignorance to fill water to the bottom of the plant's glass and interest in participation. So that sustainable community empowerment is needed in the transition process of integrated agricultural and fishery technology.
