TOURISM MANAGEMENT EFFORTS IN THE CITY OF NANNING, CHINA AFTER THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC
Abstract
This research aims to formulate tourism management activities in Nanning City, China as a recovery
effort after the Covid-19 pandemic. The recovery of the tourism industry is an issue that needs to be
addressed immediately after Covid-19. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a
literature analysis method, namely by collecting and analyzing literature related to the impact of the
Covid-19 pandemic on the tourism industry. Then collect specific data related to the tourism industry
in Nanning City during the pandemic. The results showed that the Covid-19 pandemic had a
significant negative impact on the tourism industry in Nanning City, such as a decrease in the number
of tourists, a decrease in tourism revenue, and difficulties in the tourism industry sector. To get out of
the crisis, this research formulates tourism management activities by involving various parties . First,
the government can take measures such as financial support, market surveys, professional training,
market supervision, and promoting the transformation of the tourism industry to guide the
development of tourism enterprises and promote the development of the tourism industry. The
government can also accelerate the healthy development of the tourism industry to enhance market
competitiveness. Second, The tourism industry in Nanning City is facing new demands, such as paying
attention to the health and safety of tourists, providing personalized services, attracting tourists from
ASEAN countries, and developing cultural tourism. Hygiene and health management is an important
measure to ensure a clean tourism environment and employee health. Online business promotion
and marketing will become more important to meet the needs of modern consumers. Introduction
of discount policies to attract tourists, cooperation with other companies to expand coverage.
Formulate a comprehensive marketing promotion plan to enhance the popularity and attractiveness
of Nanning tourism.
