Bentuk Reduplikasi pada Novel Ice Boy Karya Nava Dwi Putri

Abstract

Reduplication can be found in written literary works, one of which is a novel. A novel with a high frequency of reduplication phenomenon is Ice Boy by Nava Dwi Putri. The aim of this research is to describe the form of reduplication found in the novel Ice Boy by Nava Dwi Putri. This research is included as descriptive qualitative type. The theories used in this research are syntactic theory from Ramlan (2005), morphology theory from Ramlan (1985) and reduplication theory from Muslich (2017). The data collection method used is simak method with simak catat technique. The analysis method used in this research is agih method with BUL (bagi unsur langsung) technique. The data source in this research used a novel entitled Ice Boy by Nava Dwi Putri in 2019. While the object of research is the form of reduplication in the novel Ice Boy by Nava Dwi Putri. From the data collection, 350 reduplication data were found which were then grouped according to their types. The grouping results obtained 238 data of the whole repetition type; 50 data of the partial repetition type; 4 data of the phoneme change repetition type; and 58 data of the affixed change type. As seen from the location, the use of reduplication is mostly found in the middle of the sentence. On the contrary, the least is at the end of the sentence.
