Pengaruh IQ, gender dan tingkatan kelas terhadap model mental siswa SMA tentang magnet

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki model mental siswa SMA tentang magnet berdasarkan IQ, gender dan tingkatan kelas (X IPA, XI IPA dan XII IPA). Pengambilan data dilakukan di SMA Islam NU Pujon dengan subyek penelitian dipilih berdasarkan IQ dan gender pada setiap tingkatan kelas (X IPA, XI IPA dan XII IPA). Ketiga tingkatan kelas tersebut telah mendapatkan materi magnet sebelumnya di SMP. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara prediction-observation-explanation (POE) didapatkan tiga model sederhana yang digambarkan siswa dari penjelasan mereka tentang magnet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa IQ, gender dan tingkatan kelas (X IPA, XI IPA dan XII IPA) mempengaruhi hasil pemodelan siswa tentang magnet.
