Pembelajaran Integratif untuk Mendukung Keterampilan Literasi Siswa

Abstract


Literacy skill of Indonesian students is still low. Based on PISA (Programme for International Students Assessment) Indonesian students’ literacy skill occupy a lower position among other countries. Effort to develop students’ literacy skill must be encouraged especially in schools. The Integrative learning model is an instructional model to help students develop their understanding. In integrative learning activity students are assisted in compiling their understanding and trained to think critically. The Integrative learning model can be used to develop students' literacy skills because it has advantages: (1) develop students' ability to understand a concept in a multi perspective manner, (2) develop soft and hard skill to equip students the life skill, (3) make student as a person who is intelligent, creative, innovative, and character, (4) develop the ability to think logically, systematic, and scientific, (5) develop the learning process that is motivating, interesting, and fun.
