Peningkatan Kemampuan Pengelolaan Objek Wisata di Kelompok Sadar Wisata Tirta Kencana

Abstract

Currently there are many natural tourism objects developed by the community independently or commonly called Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Groups). This is inseparable from the natural potential that exists in Yogyakarta. In Gunungkidul there are many places managed by Pokdarwis. However, from the existing Pokdarwis there is not necessarily a provision of knowledge related to the management of tourism objects. The purpose of this community service activity is to develop competent and professional community groups in the tourism sector, in an effort to improve welfare in the economic field. And have readiness and concern for tourism destinations so that they can act as good hosts. This service method uses counseling, training and mentoring methods as well as analysis of results before and before the program/activity. The training in this service is to introduce how to do the tourism object marketing system. The result and impact of this activity is that people are increasingly aware of the importance of finding tourism objects starting from the strategy of introducing tourism objects to the community, managing tariffs, facilities and infrastructure, making tour packages and related to how to become a tour guide. In the future, the community must also be aware that tourism objects must be managed properly.
