Pemberdayaan dan partisipasi aktif ibu muda dalam mencegah terjadinya stunting di Kelurahan Warungboto, Yogyakarta

Abstract


Stunting merupakan manifestasi dari kekurangan gizi dan masalah kesehatan yang signifikan. Faktor penyebab stunting pada anak dibawah lima tahun bervariasi menurut usia dan secara ekologis saling terkait. Diantaranya, faktor lingkungan dan ketahanan pangan dalam rumah tangga harus menjadi perhatian. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberdayakan dan melibatkan masyarakat, khususnya ibu-ibu muda, tentang gizi dan faktor lingkungan untuk mencegah stunting di Kelurahan Warungboto, Yogyakarta. Metode pengabdian kegiatan meliputi transfer pengetahuan dan praktik. Kegiatan diselenggarakan selama dua hari yaitu tanggal 28 Agustus dan 18 September 2022 dengan durasi 180 menit per hari dan diikui oleh 21 ibu muda dengan rentang usia 20-55 tahun di Warungboto. Materi yang diberikan meliputi pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) secara eksklusif, Makanan Pendamping ASI, dan sanitasi terhadap kejadian stunting, serta dilanjutkan praktik pembuatan Makanan Pendamping ASI. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan terhadap kejadian stunting dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Adapun hasil diketahui bahwa, dari 21 peserta terdapat 4 peserta yang memiliki nilai dibawah rata-rata untuk ASI, 11 peserta yang memiliki nilai dibawah rata-rata untuk Makanan Pendamping ASI, dan 9 peserta yang memiliki nilai dibawah rata-rata untuk sanitasi. Berdasarkan skor peserta yang banyak di bawah rata-rata, ibu muda di Kecamatan Warungboto masih membutuhkan transfer edukasi mengenai pencegahan stunting.
