Penguatan peran PCIM Tiongkok dalam menghadapi peluang dan tantangan dakwah Islam global di Tiongkok

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to recommend a strategy to worship comfortably in China through the China PCIM which will be a bridge with the Chinese government; support China's PCIM in disseminating information about the development of Islam and Islamic organizations in China; provide understanding to Indonesian students and people in China about the concept of "halal food" and practical guidelines in carrying out religious life. The implementation method is carried out in several stages: preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and socialization. From this community service activity, several things were produced. First, coordination and outreach to partners (PCIM China) went well and smoothly. Second, the community of practices (COP) was attended by 20 participants with high enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and experiences (95%) from the survey result of 5 themes dealing with da’wa strategies, praying, communication, halal products, and community of practices. Third, the webinar attended by 92 online participants ran well; the respondents expressed satisfaction (100%); 46.2% (good), 53.8% (very good). Fourth, the FGD has resulted in several recommendations to PCIM Tiongkok to lobby Chinese government to provide praying facilities in the public area and monitoring and evaluating halal restaurants, and about strategies of friendly Islamic da’wa through various approaches, such as sports and health, academic, and religion. Fifth, a draft of pocket book that contains practical guidelines on carrying out religious life in China has been compiled.
