Pembuatan Video Percakapan Berbasis Kompetensi Dasar sebagai Media Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Instructional system has various components, from teachers and students as the instructional subjects to the various instructional media. Related to the English instructional system at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta, especially in improving the students’ speaking skill, based on the preliminary interview with the teacher, there are some problems to solve. The problem which needs to solve soon is the limited instructional media.  Thus, this program aims at creating more sustainable instructional media to use. The instructional media are in the form of basic competence-based conversation videos. In fact, the instructional media was developed through preliminary activities until the media are ready to use. The plenary activity was managed in the form of an English course implementing Project-based Learning. The course was run through structured activities ended by direct practices. Then, pre-test and post-test were also administrated to measure the success of the program.
