Abstract

Clarity of tasks, responsibilities and key indicators of performance is an important factor that determines employee and organization’s performance. However, many organizations experience unclear formulations related to this matter. This community service activity aims to compile job descriptions in BMT X through job analysis. This community service involved 18 employees who are representatives of each position and management as participants. Job analysis was carried out in three stages, namely: vision, mission and organizational structure analysis; business processes analysis and job descriptions draft development. Data was collected through document studies and interviews. This activity produced 10 job descriptions at the staff level and 4 job description at the managerial level which contains information about tasks, duties, responsibilities, authorities, key perfomance indicators and job specifications. The job descriptions that have been arranged are used as a guide for employees in carrying out their work and are used by management as a basis for job evaluation and reward as well as compensation systems development.
