Pelatihan safety riding dan pembentukan perilaku sahara (sadar bahaya berkendara) pada siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Yogyakarta

Abstract

The number of driving accidents in Indonesia is high, causing nearly 1 million children die due to accidents and tens of millions of others are hospitalized each year. SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta is a vocational high school that has a major in Business and Motorcycle Engineering. The problem is the students do not have Safety Riding knowledge, carrying motorcycles without a riding license, and modifying motorcycles not in accordance with standards. The purpose of this activity is to provide an understanding of Safety Riding which is a safe and safe way to drive on the highway. The method of activity is to conduct a one day workshop and driving practice. Measurement of knowledge is done by Pre and Post Test. Based on the workshops, there was an increase in knowledge before and after the workshop was given with a p value of 0,000. Bivariate results showed the mean pretest value was 14.75 while the post test was 17.24. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in knowledge before and after the workshop is given. In addition, volunteers were made aware of the dangers of driving at the end of the post test. This training has an impact on increasing participants' knowledge in safety riding as well as giving examples to peers in driving danger.
