Pelatihan komunikasi inklusi bisindo dan braille bagi guru di sekolah Sejahtera

Abstract


The goal of this program is to develop awareness and essential communication skills concerning the needs of inclusive learning at the level of primary education. In the partner community, the problems faced are the lack of teacher insight into the basic needs of inclusive learning, the teacher's poor abilities to communicate using the bisindo method, and the teacher's weak abilities to communicate using braille techniques. In order to overcome these different problems, activity plans proposed in the implementation, namely as follows; socialization of the materials of basic needs for the implementation of inclusive learning, basic communication training with bisindo techniques, and basic communication training with braille techniques. The training is performed for four days via face-to-face forums with a meeting period of 700-800 minutes or 13 hours per day. The participants consisted of 12 YPPI Bantul elementary school teachers. The training begins on 21 June 2020 to 21 October 2020. The training includes multiple speakers, including one practitioner of bisindo and braille communication, two lecturers of education and inclusion, and two students of the college. The expected result is an improvement in the insight of teachers into the basic needs of inclusion and an increase in the abilities of teachers to interact using techniques of bisindo and braille.
