THE INCREASING OF STUDENTS SPEAKING ABILITIES THROUGH DIGITAL STORYTELLING

Abstract


Digital storytelling is a technique that uses a variety of media, including text, images, audio, video, and animation, to present a story or narrative. Digital storytelling is a valuable tool that educators may utilize to help students at all educational levels—from primary school to university—increase the speaking abilities in the English language. The purpose of this study is to show how employing digital storytelling in the classroom might increase the students' oral skill in speaking. Quantitatative descriptive method is become a design to employ the research with the first grader of SMAN 1 Labuapi cinsisted 25 students. The result of this research is Digital storytelling is an invasive and powerful technique that uses a flexible and process-oriented methodology to capture voice. It works wonders for bringing about change and honoring indigenous and cultural knowledge. So it conclude that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. The advantages of employing digital storytelling to help instructors become more literate and proficient in English.
