Abstract

In junior high school, pupils find learning English vocabulary challenging. Students' low motivation to learn is the key element underpinning this. Examining the effects of student participation on vocabulary enrichment is the goal of this study. The research design employs a qualitative case study with five individuals to accomplish this objective. With the use of observation, interviews, and documentation, data is gathered. Brown & Clark's 2006 theme analysis was employed in this study's data analysis. Students had an impact on vocabulary growth, according to the data. Students' motivation to learn can be impacted by the usage of various media and teaching techniques. The teacher's function as a facilitator who aids students in comprehending cannot be isolated from this. Students may be able to resolve their issues on their own with the help of an adult or their friends. So that the learning process can be accomplished, the teacher must pay attention to details like these connected to how to build appealing classroom settings.
