AN INVESTIGATION OF STUDENTS’ PROBLEMS IN LEARNING ENGLISH OF THE SEVENTH GRADE OF SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 2 GODEAN
Abstract
ABSTARCT
Students often assume that English is a difficult and boring subject so many of them often have difficulty understanding it. In this modern era English is increasingly important and therefore English becomes a mandated subject in most secondary schools across the world. The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of students’ difficulties in learning English, the factors that influence students’ learning difficulties, and reveal the efforts made to overcome the difficulties of learning English in the seventh grade of junior high school. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects will be students of classess VII A, VII B, and an English teacher. The data used in this study will be taken from observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis uses a qualitative approach. Since the research is still ongoing, the results of the findings and discussion will be written in the complete paper and will be presented on the conference.
